Content
Below, we outline how the bot handles and processes user data:- No Collection of Personal Information
Polaris does not collect, log, or store any personal user information.
The only data stored by the bot pertains to publicly available information, such as leaderboard data and XP settings, which are already accessible to server moderators. - Discord-Related Data
For all Discord-related information (including users, channels, roles, and servers), only Discord IDs are stored. These IDs are used for internal functionalities, such as role rewards or XP multipliers.
Readable information like usernames and server icons is fetched in real time and is never stored in the database. - Leaderboard Data
The only data stored for leaderboard purposes includes the user’s Discord ID, the amount of XP they have, and their cooldown period.
No additional personal information or sensitive data is collected. - Command Usage and Analytics
Polaris does not log or store any additional statistics, such as command usage frequencies, slash command inputs, or any other interaction metrics. - Database Access
The Hoster has access to the database for the purpose of viewing or updating leaderboard data or server settings.
This access is used solely used for support, such as uploading a json-file with existing level-up data, and will never be used maliciously. - Server Information
The Hoster may access basic server information, such as server names and member counts, for analytics.
This is only done to monitor the bot's performance (e.g., identifying potential issues with larger servers) and not for any other purpose. - Discord Bot Intents
Polaris does not use any of Discord’s extra bot intents, which means the bot cannot read messages (unless it is tagged), view user statuses, or access complete member lists. - Data Deletion
Server owners can permanently delete all stored data (including settings and leaderboard entries) from the "data" tab in the dashboard.
Upon deletion, all data is purged from the database, except for the server ID, which is retained for operational purposes. - Support and Inquiries
For any questions, concerns, or feedback, users are encouraged to contact The Hoster through the YAGPD.ovh Discord Server.
The Hoster is not the Developer of Polaris, and as such, may not be able to add features or update existing features.
Users may ask about additional features on the Official Support Server of the Developer of Polaris.
